HAVEL & PARTNERS assists ministries, state-owned enterprises, regions and municipalities in setting up transparent processes, preparing key tenders, and negotiating strategic contracts that have a real impact on the functioning of the state and society.
One of the most important projects in this area was our involvement in drafting and negotiating an intergovernmental agreement between the Czech Republic and Israel for the delivery of the SPYDER air defence system. Between 2019 and 2022, our lawyers provided comprehensive legal advice to the Ministry of Defence in a transaction worth more than CZK 20 billion. Our legal support for the national air defence modernisation project under the leadership of partner Petr Kadlec continues; the acquired system is being substantially expanded with additional elements.
The execution of the contract represented a major step towards the modernisation of Czech air defence, and intensification of international cooperation with Israel – and for HAVEL & PARTNERS also one of the most important public sector mandates in recent years.
