Talking about long-term partnerships, one of the illustrative examples is our more than ten years of work for the Velká Pecka group, operating the best-known online grocery store Rohlík. We started working for Rohlík from its early years, and we saw huge potential in Tomáš Čupr and his new project. Thanks to this, we have been part of his extraordinary journey and have been able, with our legal advice, to support his growth from the Czech Republic to a number of European countries. And we believe he may get even further. Today, Rohlík is one of the fastest growing and most successful online grocery stores in Europe, and has become a love brand in the countries in which it operates.
Since its inception, we have provided Rohlík with comprehensive advice in all complex transactions and investments, including international ones. Our day-to-day work also includes employment law and food law matters, while we also assist Rohlík’s in-house lawyers with consumer issues, contracts and commercial terms and conditions.
We also represented Rohlík in establishing the unique investment fund Rohlik Growth SICAV, worth over EUR 120 million. This was one of the largest and, in terms of its structure, most exceptional projects combining fund structuring and venture capital in the Czech Republic.
Today, Rohlík improves the daily lives of customers not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other European countries. It is one of the leading IT-driven companies in the region and has become a unicorn in its field thanks to its data- and software-driven approach. We are happy to be part of it.
