HAVEL & PARTNERS wins the award for Best International Law Firm and Best Client Service in the Law Firm of the Year competition in Slovakia

As part of the 14th annual Law Firm of the Year competition in Slovakia, we have won the main prize in the International Law Firm category for the fifth year running. We also won in the Client Service category and took first place in the Banking and Finance category.

In 18 other categories, our law firm was ranked among the highly recommended and recommended firms in Slovakia. With a total of more than fifty mentions in both the Slovak and Czech rankings over the past years, we are the most successful and comprehensive law firm in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

We have been present in Slovakia since 2008, with a team of nearly 50 lawyers attending to more than 500 clients. “What matters most is our clients’ trust and satisfaction. We see this repeat victory in the Client Service category – a category decided by clients themselves – as strong confirmation that they value not only our expertise, but also the way we approach their business and how we stand by their side in the long term. Our success is built on a strong team and exceptional relationships with our clients. “They place their trust in us to be part of their business and the key moments in their story – and we want to live up to that trust by supporting their goals and ambitions with an understanding of the wider context, with precision, speed and a focus on their continued growth,” said Štěpán Štarha, partner at HAVEL & PARTNERS.

Top ranking in the Chambers guide for our team dedicated to private clients

In 2026, we once again succeeded in the prestigious international Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2026, receiving the highest possible rating of Band 1 in the Private Wealth Law – Czech Republic category. The HAVEL & PARTNERS private client team, comprising 50 lawyers, tax advisers and accountants, handles the private affairs of clients, including many of the wealthiest Czechs and Slovaks, prominent entrepreneurs, investors, sports stars, and successful businesswomen.

“This prestigious international ranking confirms that we have long been among the leaders in advising entrepreneurs, investors and families on the protection, management and intergenerational transfer of wealth. It is precisely in this area that clients today are looking not only for top-class legal expertise, but above all for an experienced partner who understands their business and their long-term goals,” said Jaroslav Havel, managing partner at HAVEL & PARTNERS and ONE FAMILY OFFICE, the latter providing comprehensive services in asset management, family wealth protection, fiduciary services, and securing the best standard of life possible.

Experienced lawyers Juraj Dubovský and Petr Vohnický become partners at HAVEL & PARTNERS; we have also introduced a new role of Associate Partner

Since October 2026, we have two new partners: Juraj Dubovský and Petr Vohnický. At the same time, we have expanded the firm’s career structure to include a new position of Associate Partner, which Róbert Gašparovič, Roman Světnický and Martin Stančík have taken up from their previous roles as counsels.

The new position of Associate Partner creates a smoother career path and enables talented colleagues who are ready to take on some of the responsibilities of a partner to progress more quickly, thereby preparing them further for the role of partner.

A further 11 people were promoted to more senior roles within the firm in October. Vuk Djukić, Lukáš Jakoubek and Dalibor Slavík have become managing associates from October. Marek Brada, Vlaďka Holbíková, Dita Horňáková, Dáša Krupová, Tomáš Lupač, Jan Palacký, Jaroslav Seborský and Simona Tziata have been promoted to the role of senior associates.

Internal promotions also took place within the firm in April 2026. Irena Munzarová and Albert Tatra were promoted to the position of counsel. A further four people were promoted to the position of managing associate. They are Marta Fantová Argalášová, Pavla Korcová, Peter Košecký and Kamil Kovaříček.
